My friend Mike Alvey called me early this morning and gave me just about
enough time to jump in some gear to meet him in Ft.Worth.. Seems like one of
our good candidates needed some help to walk his district to pass out
material.. What a hoot.. left home wearing full leathers .. came home
wearing a t-shirt.. We spent the morning escorting several groups of kiddoes
carrying brochures and literature door to door.. Met some real nice folks
along the way.. We ate lunch and broke up about 2 PM and I started back
toward Irving.. Somewhere along I-30, I ran up with a group of cruisers and
followed along for a bit.. Then realized, I knew a bunch of those guys.. We
trailed off in Arlington and ran Hwy 80 through Grand Prairie, cut through
Loop 12 and hit Strokers about three.. Good ride.. short and bright.. As
usual Strokers was a full house and the parking was scarce.. We're talking
...wall to wall motorcycles.. Front, back and both sides were filled to
capacity.. Rick Fairless was being the "good host" as he ordinarily is.. I
commenced to run out of day and started making my way back to la casa.. La
senora estar muy nojada conmigo.. Seems like I forgot that I promised to do
the lawn for the first time this year.. She just can't seem to understand
the priorities, here.. Good day.. good ride.. sure did enjoy.. See ya'll
    later..

    Your friend in Irving

Well, damn. I was in FtW and stopped by Willhoites about that same time on
the way back. Was hoping you might have been there harassing the waitresses.
