I suggested getting a pace car system up and running around local 30 mph
roads, near schools and such a long time back. I tried and tried sending
the suggestion to my local authority, but no joy. Now some muppets want
to do the pace car thing on the safest type of roads.

Ask the yanks how they set up a pace car system, they know a thing or
    two about it.

How incredibly dangerous for the pacing driver.
I for one have a tendancy to undertake cunts like this, get a chevron
ahead and make an emergency stop down to 30ish before booting it again.
On the bike I just try and boot the car as I undertake, if wearing
    Altbergs.

Why can't people just stand up, it's the great majority of drivers after
all, and say **** your speed limits, they are pants and I ignore
    them.....or buy an XS650 Special.

Kevlar and carbon armour on the outside of your glubs. Perfect for
those must do mirror/fist interface moments.

Hmm. On balance it is stand up and be counted for me then.

  7. Why would he do this if he wasn't going to pull you over, especially if,
as you suggest, he's been an obstruction?

So you can drive away knowing that just because someone is able to
arrest you doesn't mean they're not a cock.

Bollocks ... it would be Doncaster Council, fuckwits all, I know 'cos I work
    [1] for 'em.

[1] As a school caretaker, semi-retired from my 'trade' as a Mech & Prod
Engineer, not in any 'managerial' capacity, I hasten to add.

So where exactly would that have got you apart from into a world of
shit inhabited by random stops making you late for work every day?

If a cop wants to sit in the outside lane then that's fine by me, I'll
wait until he's bored and sneak by then gradually move away from him
happy in the knowledge that I haven't upset him and he's not going to
get the doughnut crew to make my life a misery. If you want to be a
smart arse and complain about him then go for it but don't waste your
time posting here complaining when you've had to endure a spot of
    minor victimisation.

Casual victimisation? You can bet your arse they allow it. Nothing
major and no stupid charges but pull you up for a quick look over or a
blow in the bag because you looked a bit erratic is very easily done.
I'm not paranoid or anti police but I know they can and will do it if
you've got one of them in the shit.

I know full well that if I was traffic plod and someone had got one of
my mates a bollocking I'd be watching him for a chance to even the
score a bit and if I made him late for work a few times he might think
better of bitching about someone sitting in the outside lane purely
because they were driving a police car.

I can't get my head around why someone would want to report a driver
for sitting in the outside lane at 70mph. Nobody here knows why he did
it and saying they'd have reported it makes them (imo) a petty minded
wanker because the majority of us break traffic laws on a regular
basis and would scream blue murder if someone had the cheek to report
    us.

They'd probably have a quiet 'in house' word with the muppets driving
the car and make sure they never got the chance to transfer to the
    doughnut boys.

You're right to ignore my rant but it pisses me off how anyone can
want to shop someone for a traffic offence when they'd have a seizure
if someone reported them. Obvious cunts like drunk drivers swerving
all over the road are excluded from my generous nature.

Like many on here I ride at stupidly high speed, overtake into
oncoming traffic, filter at illegal speeds, pull wheelies and in fact
generally have a laugh but I'd be gutted if I was nicked because
someone shopped me rather than I missed a police car sitting in the
    road waiting to catch me.

Primairly (at least in my case cos
    a) I wouldn't have a seizure if I was reported for doing it, I wouldn't *be*
doing it. On the occasions that I have been done for breaking the law,
    I've accepted it
    b) Coppers are tasked with upholding the law. To flaunt any part of it
seems to me to at least indicate a someone that is not terribly well suited
    to that role
I really can't see any difference, but each to their own. Personally I
don't ride like that either, but only cos I have to have a licence and I
don't have the bottle or skill to ride that fast.

I'd be inclined to enquire as to whether you could have a copy of the tape
    for your 'defence team'.

'What's that? You don't have one? Never mind then, eh'
