Move tank protector

So after successfully switching my tank, my next step is to transfer my tank
decal protector/sticker from my old tank to my new one.

What is the best way to get it to stick and stay on the new tank?

I wouldn't bother. It will never be as good as on the original tank
and it's not like they cost heaps.

Heat it up to get the glue sticky. It will restick when it cools down.

Yeah, a blue flame will be far too hot. A yellow flame will be the
right temperature, but the decal will get all sooty.

Yup, I had two kero torches, but one is lost somewhere. I paid $4 for
it too. (back when I was living in the seventies).

Get yourself a new protector, cost $20
worth nothing compared to swapping to another tank

 

It's not so much the cost of a new protector but the sentimental attachment
to the design of my old one

IF a tank protector is the material sticker thing that attaches on the front
of your tank where otherwise your belt would scratch the tank then yes
