Movin on down...

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Julie and Deb, Nov 8, 2008.

  1. Hi All

We're on the move for a while. Deb is leaving here at (or before)
sparrow-fart on Monday morning, driving south, destination Hobart. As soon
as I get my job sorted I'm following on down too. We'll be there for a
    year.

As soon as I know what's happening I'll be transporting the bikes down.

Mobile numbers unchanged, email should still work once I get things sorted,
and we should eventually have 2 bikes and a car down there.

I'm so looking forward to missing Brisbane summer!

    cheers
    j

A year in Tasmania, goodness, you must have done something seriously
    wrong! ;-)
Well, if the bike transport proves to be terribly expensive.... I do
have some time on my hands, and know the way down there.
I thought it was just Clem doing the Santa thing.

    regards,

Have a talk to these people as they are about to start running a truck
    through from Brisbane to Tas.

  4. Well, looks like next year may be a new experience for both of us -
    experiencing a Tasmanian winter.

If you come through Launceston, give me a call. Otherwise, once settled
in might be a good time for a Taswegian ausmoto get together.

Who've we got down here: smack?

  5. Ta for that. At least it gives us a way of getting them off the Spirit.

  6. Deb's doing her damnedest to avoid Sydney, she's heading for Canberra on Mon
night. I'll be flying with the kitties - 4 hours of stress on a plane beats
3+ days of stress in a car for them. Thanks though! :)

  7. Apparently! :)
Oh, I wouldn't want to put you out...
I've left the Santa hat unpacked. Although if I find a nice bear-skin
rug..... maybe I should have got one of the fabbo possum-skin rugs they
    sell in NZ.

  8. "Monty" engaged me in meaningful (and pitiful) miiiaaaooowwwwwws at the
rate of one every 5 seconds on the trip down from Qld. And cat crap, in
a car, is EVIL! Mind you, he seems to have settled in well.

  10. Of course. How could I have forgotten Kev. Can't recall ever running
    across Limbot, though.
Top bloke, apparently. Right up there with that Zeb fella.

  11. Sounds like Morty - he does that same reproachful, mournful miaoooow rubbish
all the time in the car. Milly's not too bad - she does the counterpoint
harmony. And we've had the cat crap thing after a 30 minute trip to the
kitty resort - our boy is not a good traveller!

  14. Meh, I survived June and July, I figure we'll survive the year. No worse
    than Brisvegas Rabies, I'm sure!
Ooh ta! Although I've started to get a bit addicted to that kiwi Speights
    brew.......

  18. You're not going to believe this, but Monty had a sister.... called
Milly. She disappeared, unfortunately. That cat had personality plus.

  19. Hi Betty

Deb will be staying with some friends overnight. Not sure what time she'll
be leaving in the morning. And no, we don't have your mobile no.

    Her number is 0414 927748

    cheers

  20. On occasion we have both been known to knock back the odd amber (or
    preferably black) beverage!
