It'll be getting colder again after 2012 though, if the 'other' school of
climatology turn out to be right.

I liked NY. It strikes me as a very European style city.

  4. You're insane.

They've removed a section from the start now, so a tad more difficult,
although some locals have been observed clambering around there trying
    to get across.

The section was removed from the start quite a while ago. You have to descend
a steep screeslope from the green iron railbridge, cross the vertical
rockface on some angle iron supports protruding from the cragface, then climb
a section of natural rock, before getting onto the caminito proper about 150
    metres from the bridge.

If you look at the photo again, you'll see I'm wearing a harness and have a
sling attaching me to a steel wire running a metre or so above the footway.

  6. Oooh, there's hi-tech for you. I bet it's got telescopic forks as well.

Yep. 5 years after Rog's model was made they fitted springs and damping
    oil to them too.

I didn't think it was. SanFran is probably closer to a European City than
    NY.

Sorry to disabuse you of the notion that it's about *you*. They want to ****
your English accent 'cos that's as close as they'll get to Hugh Grant.

It even works if your fake accent is "good enough".

    <thinks>

That may explain why we haven't heard from PeterT in a while.

Oi, the '52 forks fitted to my '49 Matchless are a significant upgrade on
the earlier models and were reckoned to be better than the Norton
Roadholder by the press of the day. And the Norton roadholder was a lot
better than the showa'o'shite jappola forks right through the golden age.
