You can get a white raffia job like that one I was wearing while we tilled
the allotment for a couple of euros when you get to spain.

New York's great. Delaware's shit. Vegas is shit. St Paul is so-so.
    Dunno about the rest.

That's the bloke that was the musician, isn't it? Dave Stewart? As you say,
    great books.

I like Barcelona and Madrid (albeit in smallish doses.) I can think of
    many worse places.

  7. Very few people that decide it was a bad idea can afford to go back. Big
difference. A lot would love to go back, but they've burned their bridges.

  8. There's thousands of them that sell their 2 up 2 down in the UK to buy a
place here and just hope they can make a living. I see countless posters
in bars that say "Please let me fix your plumbing/wiring/whatever
because I emigrated without a cent and without any clue how I was going
to make a living and support my wife and kids". Yes, they do drag their
kids out here and stick the poor little fuckers in sub-standard
education so they can "live the dream". It often ends in tears.

Thats good news, I'm waiting for the results of a job interview over in
Pasadena. Seems to have a population of yellowhead amazon parrots,
    wonder who's doing the work.

No, it means 'to god', or less literally 'god be with you'. Do you
mean it's used as a greeting, rather than a farewell, where you are?

  14. There are a few routes. I was up there just the other day. Camino del
Rey is totally closed off though.

Oh, and Ardales just got permission to build about 6 zillion houses.
El Torcal? Was there yesterday. Brilliant place. Got to be seen to be
    believed.

No it's not. It's just a big ****-off city. Filthy place with very
    little to recommend it.
I wouldn't know about any of them either. But I could guess.

Blimey. If the staton closes, the town will close. It's a major railway
    crossroads, how comes?

  19. Nice place, expensive housing. There is a *superb* Thai restaurant - where
the food actually tastes of something, I'll fish out the name if you like.
And a poor Indian one. Oh, and Monty's which is a fabulous old style
American Steak Place. Um.... and a proper soda fountain, too. I rather like
Pasadena. Damn hot in summer, thobbut.

Hm. And my friend who lives in Pasadena is a real and genuine rocket
scientist. You may even meet him, I guess.

  20. You don't get much choice. A new law just came in saying any major
reforms have to include solar energy usage.
