I have a son so 1 or 2 generations out in the Western world obviously
does concern me. I don't believe anything we do is going to make things
unpleasant inside 100 years, or even 500. Different perhaps, but climate
change is constant.

 

Parts of Europe are much the same. I like the simple straightforward
logical way they lay out towns. I'm forever getting lost in England.

I like the fact we speak the same lingo. I love Italy, parts of France
and Switzerland but have no language skills at all.
If all goes well at the ranch I think Northern Italy might be the final
resting place, as long as they continue to ignore the EU. If not then
USA is likely to be it.

Open windows let fresh air in, which is fine during the day when the
place is occupied by at least two people, one of whom is considered able
to at least attempt to fight off the burglars and murderers who are all
but guaranteed to come in with the aforementioned fresh air. Open
windows at night are strictly forbidden. As is living in a ground floor
flat. Or being left alone for a night. Apparently.

 

Many thanks. I just wonder if the ebay price will be lower than the price
he wants, to lower the ebay fees. A bit like house buying negotiations
declaring a lower value to evade transfer tax.

If it realy is a good bike and only 1000 euros, what would be the
possibility of you picking it up and storing it until I can get over to
ride it to Andalusia?

 

Do you have gas central heating as well?

My gas bill is 60 quid a month[1], but we do most things with it,
cooking, heating, hot water.


[1] At present. Because we've only been in the house a couple of
months the gas company haven't been able to estimate our use very well
yet.

 

You only need to get past the last one on the A65 near my place and then
North Yorkshire and it's sublime camera free roads beckon.
