Dammit, I was never good at maths.
I have been bottom posting for quite some time, much as I disagree with
it - just look at the thread with Diogenes (if you can cope with it..)
WTF ? Did Harsh Week get canceled ? Politely chastised, and Nev being
    blatantly helpful earlier..

The first post in this thread appears to be from a Sir John Howard,
    who cross-posted to aus.moto, aus.cars and aus.pol. After a little pot-
stirring he then ran away. You have been trolled.

So what's wrong with attempting to provoke debte/discussion/thought?

Why is such a person derided as a 'trol" ?

  6. Yes, we'll just have to get used to paying through the nose.

    --
"The Labour Party is corrupt beyond redemption!"
    - Labour hasbeen Mark Latham in a moment of honest clarity.

    "Silly old bugger!"
    - Well known ACTU pisspot and sometime Labour prime minister Bob Hawke
responding to a pensioner who dared ask for more.

"God save the Queen because nothing will save the governor general!"
    - Egotistical shithead and pompous fuckwit E.G. Whitlam whining about his
    appointee John Kerr.

Yes, Andrew, I was aware of those meanings (or ones similar).

In this case, as in many others, though, contrary to any "trolling"
intent by the poster, a valid, thought provoking debate ensues.

I don't see what all the fuss is about.

  9. " Good troll, but please explain how KKK Krudd and his KKK Kohorts have
    any influence on fuel prices?

About as much influence as Fool Watch would have?

    Bawahahahahahahahaahaha "

" What difference does it make, Mr. Motor Mouth?

Labour are in power, so they make the only effective policy.

But in the case of Labour, no policy is effective!

    LOL. "

" You know there's a reason why the oil company execs and the ACCC boss
are getting paid 6 figure salaries and you are on usenet trying to
demonstrate your ability to perform simple maths... "

    Valid, thought-provoking debate? Yeah, right.

In this case, as in many others, the quality of the conversation is much
    improved by eschewing cross-posting.

Go away and dream up another FS scenario instead - I liked the last one
    :)

  11. You saw the quotation marks, right? You understood that they meant
quotations from others in this thread, not me, right? You grasped the
idea that if you were going to post, a smart move would be to respond to
the original poster, not me? Just asking!

Nice bit of selective quoting. I hadn't actually followed much fo the
thread. Your comment has caused me to read the whole thread.

To be honest, I see little difference in the quality of debate between
this "troll" originated thread and any of the typical threads in here.
I'll see what I can do. But I know not when the muse will net be
sitting on my lap... Don't hold your breath....
