    Well **** me sideways................

Went out for a blatt and to check on the current mrs BigJ's daughter
    (19 and bisexual, Mmmmmmm )
Ended up at Riverside Motorcycles having a look about as I'm planning
    to change my bike soon.
I like this one says she, do you like it ?

Well **** yes its a Gixer thou, K5 course I like it.

Totally fucking impractical though as I need to carry a pillion
    regularily.

Was thinking more of a Fazer thou or ZX9r
Quite liked the look of the sv1000s special edition.

I'll make my mind up sometime................

The K5 is gorgeous and tiny. Even I can touch the floor. I still like the
    10R though.

    Tricky innit :)

I've made up my mind, but only that I rushed into buying the Fazer and
should have tried a couple of other things first. So I've booked a
couple of test rides for this week.

Fazer is good though, just that nagging "compromise" demon keeps popping
    into my head.

I tried it, didn't like the very high footrest position and decided that
a proper R1 with flat bar conversion would be a better all round bike!

    That'll do nicely

But I can't really afford/justify having 2 bikes right now

That's nailed it on the head. I commuted down to Guildford from Brum a
couple of times last month and went on the bike to get through the M25
roadworks. My legs were as stiff as they ever were on the Gixer... in
fact more so because I didn't have to stop to fill up.
