Mate if you're living somewhere that you feel is worse than Birdsville
then you have my commiserations, either that or you need a reality check...

  7. That's what I thought too. 4 years later, the dust is still settling.
Good luck - and I do mean that sincerely.

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for posting this. It kind of brings the whole thing home eh?
Perhaps gives consequence some real shape and hopefully makes us consider
our actions a little more closely. I've been guilty of firing up the XX a
little too close to my personal capabilities (yes, I did get it into 2nd
once Alx) with no thought that someone's husband/father etc. could be the
possible recipient of a stuff-up (let alone myself/pillion etc.).

May he rest in peace and all the best to you mate.

    Cheers,

Doesn't cost much to get a shack outside a rural town - there'd be
places within 20 or 30K of Broken Hill you'd probably get for a couple
of grand (going by the fact that apparently houses in BH can be nabbed
    for under 10K)

In the mid-90's I was offered a quite-nice house in Broken Hill in exchange
    for my '93 ZZR600.
The offer was serious, and I would have taken it up except for the fact that
most of the town was half-empty and you'd never get a tenant.

  16. ****! What have they done to you mate!? It's inhumane to make a man keep
beer in the fridge 'til the use by date!

Best after lining your stomach with chalk-dust?

The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things, Clem.

Also, there would be less Coopers for those who really appreciate it.
