Wait until Aldi have one on offer again. Use it for a while, work out
what *you* like and don't like about the design, the feel, the selection
of tools, then use *your* criteria to choose a more expensive one, if
you think you still need it.

A little swiss army knife is useful to have day to day. However, I've never
had one that kept a particularly sharp edge.

If I were buying a multitool, it'd be something like a leatherman squirt -
I'd never carry a full size one around with me (too big for a pocket
comfortably, possibility of being done for having an offensive weapon), so
it'd be a tad pointless. The leatherman tools I've seen have also had very
    sharp blades.

Beware of the wavey blade on the Leatherman Wave.
The first time you open it it WILL take a blood sacrifice.

  6. Yup - mine are pretty much as sharp as when I bought them. Even after
cutting up anti-static tiles with it..
The 'sounds like a flicknife' noise?
