as *everyone* knows, nothing worth buying has been released since 1972.

**** off hippie. Plenty of good music was made in the mid seventies too.

A while ago, I lived not far from Crewe. There's a venue there called
the Limelight Club, for which I still have a life membership card.
They have live music on (it's a converted church and the gigs are in
the crypt) every night and I used to go most Saturdays to see the
'big' tribute bands (and Sundays for the blues bands). The very best
were more than just reminiscent of the real thing in their heyday,
    they were probably better.

Aussie Pink Floyd were one of the very best - I've seen them four or
five times and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or go again, should
    the opportunity arise.

    In
747s "Zampano". You'll either love it or hate it, but they're mates of mine.

Saw a Queen tribute band called Magic - A Kind of Queen a few weeks
back. They were utter shite, & we walked out. However they also do an
ELO tribute, & did Mr Blue Sky as a taster, & it wasn't bad at all.

  12. Statto and I went to see them last week. They were indeed superb and
loud. Every time the drummer hit the big bass it felt as though
someone was pushing hard, not felt that physical force of sound
outside the heavier end of gigs before.
They did 'gunner's dream', only heard RW do it before. I was happy,
well as happy as you can get with GD.
    And one was very sexy.
    Yes, yes and yes.

I fucking love that feeling. I always liked the death seat at gigs.
Course I can't hear any more.

We had those seats :) There weren't many seats left when we booked in
February (Aussie Floyd do seem to sell out early!), so we were one row
back from the stage and speakers, which were three seats to our left.
Great noise, but they didn't seem to sort out the mixing until the
    2nd half. Drummer was ace.

Don't blame me; the keyboard player introduced all the blokes, and
    they're all called Bruce.

Three guesses what the (female) backing singers are called...
