Unfortunately, Goggledearth has pretty crap coverage, Virtual Earth is
slightly better, but only in the 'Hybrid' mode, but gives a bit of feel to
the route. Lots of Huns about.

The only pain,IMO, is getting into the highlands, its eithet bite the bullet
and get there, or 'waste' time going a prettier/better route than the
    standard ones.
High time one of our inhouse Biggles' had a heavylift capacity for moving
Gentlemen and steeds abite the country.

I don't mind trailriding in the rain, although it's a pain when the
water makes yer roll-offs stick to yer goggles. I also don't mind road
riding in the rain if it's because I've got somewhere to go. But when
you're off for a few days playing in the twisties, rain sucks.
I may well be now, as it happens.

  4. Quite a few 'A' roads in the arse end of up there are little more than
    tarmaced farm tracks.

Indeed. Even on a Wing. The Oykel Valley is particularly good in this
    respect.

It's wet every other year, when I've been. Otherwise it's been
    glorious.

That line's got a "kept for special occasions" look about it.
