    Hello folks,

it's been a looong time. I hope in my absence you've all kept upright and
healthy (other than Lemmiwinks of course - sorry to hear about your
    situation dude).

Yes - this is a blatant attempt to advertise my red panniers - the very
first items I've ever attempted to sell on Ebay. Once the exclusive domain
of fancy women's shoes (and the shoes of a fancy woman... boom boom), they
house nothing more than air in my apartment and should be freed to once
again patrol the open road (and traffic Ferragamos).

So, if you know anyone who may be interested, they are item 130220486874 (my
favourite number as it turns out) and I'll certainly owe you a beer or two
if they get sold as a result!

    Cheers,
    Dave E '03 XX
PS. Stay tuned for some further selling/sad news... :-(

....oops - and you too Biker Betty. Buggered & Bruised Biker Betty perhaps??

    Damn!

LOL, yeah, thanks Steve - bruised and battered, but not bruised and buggered
    <grin>

betty, hoping to be back on the bike SOON!
PS Hi Dave, how's it going? Good to see you again!

Um... yes - sorry about the "crafty butcher"* reference.

I'm doing OK in some ways, a bit flat in others but generally healthy and
getting on with things. I feel a bit guilty blasting back onto the scene
with a crappy reference to my Ebay listing, but it's good to see familiar
names and hear back from you!

Perhaps I'll get enough inspiration here to put aside thoughts of selling
the XX, though I wouldn't put too much money on it... :-(

    Cheers,
    Dave

    Aaahhh - now I feel better! :)
Maaate - what's going on? Excellent point (the first bit) - maybe that
should become "excellent pint". Mate, I've been overseas or working in
Gladstone almost continuously since October, hence the no beers and
reference to flogging the XX. It's just sitting in the garage wondering why
it was created in the first place.

Of course winter is a great time to try to sell motorbike stuff... :)

    Cheers,
    DE

That doesn't sound good. Erm, naturally you have a replacement in mind,
right? Not giving it away altogether, surely???

Heey Betty (not Buggered Betty...) hehe,

well, the bike is really not being used as I'm constantly away and this is
unlikely to change at least this year. Perhaps it's better to part company
now, save the $$ on insurance/rego and consider something when things settle
down (like another Ducati...ooooiioioiio). That's what I've been thinking
    about... :)

So how is your condition after your session with gravity? Great to hear
    from you!

    Cheers,
    Dave

Um.... eeerrr... you are a *bad bad* fellow Cam! Indeed it looks great out
there... I am in Sydney today too... hehe

It would be great in the little blue car as well, other than it's having new
front shocks put on ("shock" describes my reaction to the bill no doubt...).
    :)

Spoze it makes sense..... same reasoning I used when I got rid of my car - I
figured I could always get another one if I got truly desperate.

Doesn't it drive you nuts, being away all the time? Even though I don't like
my hovel much, it's "home", and I don't like being away from it for too
long. It's always a relief to come home...
It's crap, total crap, and really doing my head in (of course, it's nowhere
near as bad as what happened to Lemmiwinks, so I'll stop moaning!) I've been
told not to discount the possibility of surgery, pending the ultrasound
results on Friday, (sounds a bit drastic and I hope it doesn't come to
that!) and the worst thing is not being able to get around (public transport
in Canberra is crap). Am picking up a hire car today, to get me around for
the next week at least *sigh* That'll make a big difference.

    crap are they... :)

  15. You could donate it to a nice minder who would look after it and
pamper it on some nice Tassie roads over the next year til your get
back and it would be one happy little budgie again :)

  17. With the recent spate of huge discounts on Budgies the arse has totally dropped
out of the second hand market for them. : (

You don't have a set of hard panniers for it by any chance that you want to
    sell seperately?

Yes, I'm becoming aware of that unfortunately. Damned Honda - such a great
    touring machine.
I have a set of 3 Givis with XX bracket - the size that fits 2 helmets in
each and was considering packaging them with the bike but will see how I go
considering the whole idea of selling...

    Cheers,

The solution is obvious. Don't sell!

Motorcycles don't take up that much room, and if it is a good bike now
it will be a good bike in a few years if you store it properly.

Remember... those who ride around on desirable classic bikes usually
bought them when they were just "old bikes".
