Today's National Press Club Address featured "Ferret" (UMC NSW),
"Bullfrog" Smith (God's Squad MC), and Prof Paul Wilson Bond
    University.

They were explaining why the proposed new "Bikie Laws" were a bad
    thing.

It was on ABC1 at 1230pm today, and will be rebroadcast at 0325am
    tomorrow moring.

You can probably also find the vodcast (?) an ABC1.

Jut thought some of you might not have picked up on this.

All abuse and "wit" is to directed to Knobdribble, the net cop of
    aus.motorcycles.

At this point we might be able to use them to have the Queensland
Government declared a Proscribed Organisation and bar members from
    associating with each other.

    Then the Queensland Police...

How did these people go? What was the Press Club's reaction?

And what's this UMC when it's at home? Is it a One Percenter style club?

I saw the news bit about it in a copy of Cycle Torque today at work, so it's old
    news now, I s'pose.

Obviously ICAC or CJC or whatever it's called up there hasn't done much good, by
the sounds of it. And the Opposition here in Victoria wants to set one up...

If the QLD'ers up there have any brains at the next election they'll put all
sitting members, regards less of party affiliation, last on the ballot. At least
then they can start with a clean slate.

Same with any other state where the corruption, incompetance and total arrogance
is so entrenched that a thorough purging of the Parliament is the only real
    answer.

Then do it a second time if the new lot look like being as bad. At least then
the third lot should sit up and take notice, that their single 3/4 year term
won't qualify them for the corrupt rorts that long term politicians get.

Dunno. I didn't watch it. I just posted the information because I
knew that others here had an interest in the subject.

Maybe someone else can fill you in.
United Mororcycle Union (of NSW?) Zebee can probably tell you more.

  11. Thought it might have been Uhlans MC
then again, when I first saw them at Hume Weir track they were called the
    Black Uhlans
the name has since been colloquially shortened to Uhlans, but don't know if
    that is official or not

And how is "Bullfrog" Smith going
and how long has it been with him being known as "Bullfrog"?

Haven't seen young Johnnie for a while
caught up with him on the 40th anniversary of the Gods Squad in Melbourne
still the same after all that time, except for a loss of hair
