    Phew.

After a long soap opera type drawn out drama that involved fixing my
scooter up. After what seemed like months, it's finally being put back
together to running condition. At least it'll be running for the summer,
and I'll be more mobile. Not having to rely on the buses is going to be
a bonus too. Taking 45 minutes to travel no more than 4 miles is just
    taking the piss.

I'll have to get some good gloves or hand shields of some sort, because
having cool fingers makes the arthritis in my hands play up. Any
suggestions for bar mufs / gloves. I've already noted WCs insulated
    levers thing.

I bought some Motrax bar muffs a couple of years ago for the ER-5,
they're still in good nick but they'd probably be a bit too big for a
    scooter.

Thanks for the info, not got wonky fingers yet! Still not much fun
though, as it's part of a related condition. Until I get the scooter
back, I don't really know how far I'll be able to ride. So, I may hold
off getting them until I know all my other bits are up to the task.

Heh.. They may fit, as it's quite a big scooter, for a scooter.

At the risk of being shouted down, try taking a daily max dose of Cod
    Liver Oil.

My hip-joint pain started fifteen years ago, so far I'm still quite
mobile. The pain only returns when I don't take the CLO for a few
    days.

If the other condtion is Reynaud's syndrome, CLO should help with that
    too.

I've been taking flax oil and Glucosomine sulphate which seems to have
kept aches and pains at bay.

I take 150 Mg of Diclofenac sodium SR and proton inhibitors, plus CLO.
Going to get steroids after my lilar lymph node biopsy apparently. Want
to avoid taking anything like Glucosomine sulphate though. Steroids
should help a lot so I was told. Getting pissed off waking up every
night with my eyeballs dragging on my eye lids and having to put eye
drops in, in the small hours.

What's the issue with Glucosomine sulphate?

I just don't want to take anything to upset my tum any more than it
already is, as it can cause upset tum. I've got an upset tum as it is,
and I'm sure taking that isn't going to help is any more.

May have a word with the consultant I'm seeing about this though. See
    what he says.

  10. If it's to do with the shellfish-ness, I am advised that they do veggie-based
    capsules now.

I wonder what the capsules are made of on my other pills. Shellfish
doesn't usually upset me, still got reservations about just taking
another pill without having a word with someone who knows about how it
    may interact with my prob.
