I can't say that I've seen TOG's altered ego in that (or any mass
market) publication for some time now, so that argument doesn't carry
    much weight, I fear.

Ah, it's been some months since I picked a copy up and years since I bought
    one.

Some freelance journo-bloke called Tim is asking for info, in a TOG like
manner in another place, for an EMAP mag.

This made me wonder if TOG had been usurped by a cheaper whippersnapper.

  6. Sad, but true. Classic Bike, yeah, but not Bike for a few months. EMAP
has had a huge staff-cutting and freelance-cutting programme lately.

    These things come and go.

Oh God. As soon as I saw that, I thought of our own silver haired
lothario. Am I the only one?

Shame, really. It's nice to occasionally read something written with
genuine passion and knowledge behind it.

DiRE had a feature on the Bandit 600 in their most recent offering.
The factual inaccuracies really showed them up for the utter shower
    they are.

    The NEC isn't in Birmingham.

And anyway, it's not down, it's sideways.

Is that why you're reduced to appearing in the letters pages of RealClassic?

  12. Oh, that's out, is it? I subscribe, because I rather like it. And they
printed something which was rather, read very, wrong. So I gently
    corrected them...

I might respond to your letter by sending in the pics I took of that blue
Paso I saw the other week.

    Arse.

Other than the tiny saving, the real benefit of buying tickets in
advance was that you didn't have to do all that queuing when you got
    there.

So I've ordered my tickets and this year, to improve the system, I have
to collect my tickets from the box office on arrival.

I've paid in advance and I've still got to queue.

    Arse.

There must have been 'cos mine's sat in front of me, and I didn't even
have to say exactly which day I was going on.

    Enjoy your queue.
