I really would rather stick chilli-smeared needles into my bollocks.

I'm mentally scarred from the time I took Bear and Paul Corfield up to
    that.

It's not *that* bad but it was pretty dire last time I went.

Anybody going to Stafford mid-October for the Classic Mechanics show?

    Pretty much sums it up.

    Expensive load of old shite.

Almost certainly, to chew the fat with the Morini lot and have my annual
chat with Bob Wright about Gilera parts.

  14. I'd love to, but I'm *always* abroad for work at that time.

    <checks date>

Bloody hellfire! Not this year, though. 17th and 18th!

Anyone near Stafford who can put me up for Saturday night? He asked,
    hopefully.

  16. Well, given the 200-odd miles that separate me from Stafford, that's a
    decent call.

  18. Both, prolly. Up on Saturday, do the show in the afternoon, crash Sat
night, have another trundle round Sunday morning, then go home.

Question: is bringing the trailer up A Really Dangerous Idea?

    Indeed.

I'll have to consult the social secretary when she returns from Greece
but if she isn't going to the football I may be able to persuade her
to do a bit of taxi driving. I'll still not be driving at that point
but drinking beer and looking at shite old bikes should be ok.
