    Tis a fine looking machine by somebody's standards.

    BTW how is project Frankfurt coming along.

    Well, its cleaned up, bearings re-packed etc., MOT'd last week and was
    running. But not as well as it should.

    I rebuilt the engine with new seals. Some interesting history has come
    to light.

    Speedo shows 4500 miles, probably genuine as the cases have never been
    split, no wear on genuine MZ consumables (even had a pnuemat tyre). The
    piston and barrel is 1st O/S. The new piston has only done 100 miles, if
    that. The carbon deposits wiped off with a dry cloth.

    Engine back in, exhaust painted, turd polished.

    Was getting tired last night (went to work at 4am) so left it, just the
    timing to set up. Then proving mileage.

    Not too bad for the equivalent of two weekends worth of work although I
    was getting quite silly. Degreasing threads and the like. Still more or
    less under budget (although a brand new carb mixing chamber cost £25).
