  1. So?

I had visions of an oil-filled ignition black box.

  2. First, you construed the OP's mispelling of "spark" as an indication
that he was probably a "Hun", and his difficulty in communicating his
problem gave you another mistaken impression about the ignition
    system.

What have you got against Germans?

The poor guy didn't write "sprache" or "sprechen", yannow.

What ever happened to the English politeness and civility, anyway? The
    Blitz was a lifetime ago...
The digital ignitor unit is not mounted anywhere near the oily parts.
It probably has a viscous dark hydrocarbon material inside though, and
that material's origin may in fact be dead dinosaurs who turned into
coal over eons and eons of time...

I would hestitate to tell the OP to replace the digital ignitor box
and I would suggest that he check out those two relays that every
    Yamaha has.

If he's still reading, that is...

The master power and starter solenoid enabling relays are part of
    Japan's revenge for B-29's bombing
    Tokyo, yannow. ;-)

    I wouldn't know about that.

  4. No I didn't. You're referring to another poster, not me. Go back and
    re-read the thread.
Nothing. I even socialise with one such, who's posting in this thread
    ;-)
See above. You've got it wrong. *AGAIN*.
    Oh, ffs. I know this.

Nothing that seems to do permanent damage, as far as I can remember.
You've been over here then? And I assume that you're familiar with the
English intellectual sport of being thoroughly insulting in a very
polite and civil manner? Takes a lifetime to learn, I'm told.
Well, no-one's told The Sun or the Daily Mail yet.

  6. Yes, my English ancestors came from Dorset, Somerset, and Kent. I
toured through England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland several years
    ago.

And the nice thing about the English serving class in nice restaurants
is that they know their place. They don't let you know that they are
only waiting table because they are pursuing an advanced degree.

And I assume that you're familiar with the
All that obsequious politeness actually came over the Channel with
    William the Conqueror.

My Saxon ancestors would have responded to verbal insults from my
Norman ancestors with violent physical action. My Irish ancestors
would have stolen the combatants horses while they fought, and my
Scottish ancestors would have taken sides if offered lands or a title.
