The original in 1936, I hope! (Special effects have come a long way
    since then!)

Flesh Gordon? Your mother didn't supervise your TV viewing much, did she?

I ran a double bill in Hobart once, 1936 Flash Gordon, followed by 1975
Flesh Gordon. You needed to be stoned to appreciate the subtleties!

  11. I actually got caught out on that one recently, I was chatting to a
friend I was about to visit in New York in February, and she says "its
kinda cold, its -2 degrees at the moment", and I was thinking "-2? thats
not _that_ cold, its only just below freezing..."

big (yeah yeah, so it was almost -20 degrees C...)

What was the name of the main female in Flesh Gordon? Flange Desire keeps
popping into my mind (or what's left of it) but I know she was in Auntie
Jack, and it wasn't Vulnavia (she of the masturbatory delights), so which
    loser knows?

Goaty, Joe M, over to you.......

    doodles) to pay attention!

I didn't expect to suck in someone as august as you, goaty! [1]

[1] if you refer back to the initial post,
I wanted to know the ° sign, and a number of
clever folk said "you just do xxxC"
I resisted the urge to tell them that I wanted to know how
to tell someone to make a cut at 22.5° in a piece of timber.

Somehow I just knew that I'd be able to tell someone they were sucked in.
