Nah, maybe that's why it weighs more. Anyway, some bloke in another thread
says that density is important and I need to goggle it. Anyway, if we are
going to calculate to 4 dec places we need to use "A" grade glass ware a
densitometer, confabulator and a very small set of scales.

  3. That'd be the PULP. The ULP is only 21. BP Ultimate, being a higher
octane fuel, is actually 22.7. The E10 is only 20, coz as everyone
knows, alcohol makes you high - so it must be lighter.
    You reckon?

lower octane = lower weight = better handling = better performance. :)

Geez JL, that would really suck..... there aren't many grown-up road bikes
I can flat-foot both feet on. Tall people have no bloody idea!!!

I saw a Cagiva Mito 125 in a bike shop here the other day, and thought it
looked exquisite (apart from the fact that the seat looked bloody hard and
uncomfortable). Now...... something that size-ish, with a bit more grunt
    (and a better-padded seat!).....

I was having a play on the net and saw the Mito 500 (looks crap in white,
wonder if it comes in red? <grin>) and apparently it's also very light....
and then a friend burst my bubble by saying the seat height would be at
least 810mm... JL, any idea of the specs (partic seat height) for the 500???
I didn't like the look of the nose bit with the lights (very rectangular as
opposed to the foxy pointy nose of the GS500) but if that's the standard
Cagiva nose and the height is right, hey, I'm willing to compromise....

I just can't see the point of being a short-arse and being so uncomfortable
(and relatively unsafe) on a bike that's made for ppl so much taller.

    If I ruled the world......

No :p~ just really struggling with the extra height/weight when I park the
    fucking thing - it's really quite scary when you're 5'2-3"ish, 60kgs,
middle-aged, a little jittery and relatively inexperienced. And I'm missing
my baby GPX, which I really loved and felt extremely comfortable on.

I know I'll get used to it, (I'm stubborn in very many ways) but it shits me
that it's this hard simply because I'm small. I feel as if I've gone back 10
steps and I want it to be 100% brilliant edgy fun again, rather than getting
this awful sinking feeling like I used to back in the very early days.

The "awful sinking feeling" you used to get in the early days is what
accentuates the joy you got when you got control of the GPX. I reckon
you've just set yourself a path to greater heights of joy. Good stuff!

    Look at that.... Beer = 1010 kg./cu.m.
Now we can work out how big almost everyone here is by their weight.

I assume "heavy" beer is actually lighter. And the drunker you get the
    lighter you are. Maybe not.

Wait until you get a bit older and you can no longer ride as well as you
used to, the eyes no longer work well at night, the 72 kilos have swollen to
90 and old fart touring bikes seem to fit you much better than the latest
    rice rocket.
