apparently Colin Collins in letchworth has apparently been taken over.

now called The Bike Pavilion - http://www.thebikepavilion.co.uk/

I assume its a kwak dealer again. saves having to go to the end of the
    world for bits.

Indeed, it will save a trek to Watford.

I'll have to pop in when I get some time.

    Oh, interesting.

I shall go and chat about GTR1400s to them.

I won't if the cunts that owned Colin Collins still have anything to
    do with it.

Ex-employees I don't have an issue with but if the previous owners are
still involved then they can **** right off.

Book a test ride then bring it round for me to play with.

My inside contact[1] tells me there's no chance of a test ride before
the second batch arrive. Gawd knows when that'll be.

[1] OK, OK, Champ was chatting to a bloke.

    I've called my local Kwak emporium... $12,399 for a non-ABS, $13,299 for
the ABS model. Unfortunately they haven't any in stock yet, but would
be happy to take a deposit.

I *really* Really really want one. I suppose all it would really entail
would be a fair sized helping of earache when it comes down to it. Plus
the obligatory retaliatory purchases, but how many duvets and pillows
can a woman actually buy, I ask you?

S'okay. I'd have only checked out who's running the new shop and if
the previous cunts were involved I'd have kept the bike then lobbed
them a token amount of cash and told them to **** off as far as the
    rest was concerned.

    Whaaaaat? That's pin money!

Heh. A small plan is sort of proto-forming.

It involves buying one on the West Coast and scratching that "ride
across the USA" itch to have it shipped from New York. And it paying for
itself in the saving on buying the bike. And I'm EKS, so I can take the
    time off to do it.

A man of impeccable taste. Blue or red?

I'd like mine repainted in the dark metallic green they did the
    Z1000ST in.

That one doesn't look the right shade of green, either.
My Z1100R was an 'A' - A878UGT. This is the one nicked from Knebworth,
only a montha after I got it.(

I've got a couple of pics somewhere - I must dig them out.

You'll probably find that itch returning on a regular basis. I know I
do, even though I've done it once already in a car on the Southernmost
    route.

What doesn't help with scratching the itch is one's wife then goes and
    buys this book here:
