That sounds just silly to me. My Babyblade is about 24,000km now and feels
as strong as ever. Done a service every year or so, just had the 25k one a
bit early. Need a suspension rebuild, but that's always been a crap point of
it so probably the norm for this model (if you're a normal 85kgs and not
    featherweight 50kgs).

If it turns out I'll get SFA for it because it's done a few Ks I might just
keep it for all the fun I have riding around people on bigger bikes on track
    days.. ;)
    Good one! :)

I reckon a 30k something CBR600F4i would be a great purchase, btw. Very nice
    bikes.

    Cheers,
    Jørgen

usually that occurs with 1000cc with home service, think its about $900 for
    a new motor

    just ask BTH ;)

Just a $k to extend the life of your bike with quite a few more years,
doesn't sound bad to me at all..

    Thanks,

My dad lost his licence recently (cause he's 89 and can't see too
well). His car is a 1989 Holden-badged Toyota Corolla which has done
22,000 kms. almost all of those kms have been done in a country town
with the average trip being 2 kms. I don't think the engine has ever
been warm. Has had four mufflers rusted out in that time. Wouldn't be
    a good buy.

My bike's done 180K in nine years. Just as well it's not Jap or a
    sportsbike then.

  12. I'd _highly_ recommend doing that if its at all possible... I was _very_
luck it that I met a whole bunch of people while on my L's who said to
me something along the lines of "A Spada, eh? I used to have one of
those, I wish I still had it!", so when it came time to get a bigger
bike, I _did_ keep it :)

It rocks owning multiple bikes (well, except around insurance/rego
    time...)
80,000 on the Italian bike too ;-)
Like Theo said, I's take a well maintained 80,000km old one over a
    shoddily treated 10,000km one...

You've got to get in early, that way it's someone else's event that
gets fobbed off with "Sorry mate, already got plans!" ;-)

Spanner day? Well hopefully by then I'll have moved all my tools and
gear out there, and I'll have a concrete-floored shed to work in
    rather than a grassy paddock...

That'd involve the Putty, Bell's Line, and the road from Bathurst to
    Crookwell then? ;-)

(Or possibly Bathurst to Goulburn via Oberon?)

  17. None at all? You going through Oberon and Crookwell, up the coast and
back through Braidwood, or are you forgetting the little bit of the Hume
between the Bundanoon turnoff and the Bungonia one?

I was thinking Putty, Bells, then Lithgow, Jenolan Caves Rd to Oberon.
Mmmmm, dirt roads :) On the way to the Snowies I didnt realise how
much dirt there was so I hung back to avoid clogging my foam airfilter.
When I realised (and got sick of doing 60kph), I had to pass our whole
group but it was worth it for the fresh air. Here's us at the end of
the first section of dirt http://snipurl.com/3hf8 Just before I go
roaring off to be ahead of everyone else for the next section of dirt
and nearly went straight ahead when the road turns sharply left across
    to the bridge!

We're still calculating Easter the good old pagan way. Easter is
always on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the
    equinox.

I once tried to explain that to an inner suburban student, who asked
"How do you know when its a full moon?"
