It's not a curse, just an observation of a phenomenon based upon the
    principles of Murphy's Law.

Not enough. I like 1600km plus days.
Yep, found that site and Thumpertalk, I was wondering whether
http://www.kientech.com/ was the go or whether there was a place in Oz I
    could source the bits.

I'm trying to resist the temptation to start on the DR just yet, though
I have a list of desired mods including Dynojet kit, cutout in airbox,
14 tooth countersprocket, rack, soft luggage, IMS tank and of course,
    the seat.

Still considering Buell dual headlights, Vapor dash and large diameter
    header pipe...

Chooky seats are always "firm" when you get them, but after a few
    weeks, they are ok.
failing that get the seat refoamed shouldnt be too harsh on the
    pocket.

didnt someone have a long range tank for one of these recently
    forsale?

No problem, John Morehouse has done about 20 seats for me over the past 5
years so I get trade rates, he has a K100 and a R75/6 seat of mine at the
moment so I am in and out all the time.

I won a 33 litre tank for the DR650 in the Trail Bike Adventure magazine
subscription contest about 2 months ago, retail was $650, I sold it a week
after I got it for $550.

My garage at times is like a dealers showroom with all sorts of interesting
items, neighbours drop over when they see the door open to check out the
latest toy. Bikes come and go but I have seemed to selle on the BMW's
because I understand them and know where to get parts, and how to fix and
maintain them. I currently have 5 BMW's and one Kawasaki GPz900R with a
frozen clutch, looks like this weekend will be pulling the bloody thing
apart, I just hate wet clutches.

I'll find a seat soon and get back to you.
Will have to get to Brissie soon. It's a lot more affordable now...

On one of the mid-sized Japharlies (either the Yammie V-Star 650 or the
Honda equivalent) a few years ago they actually ran a rod from the rear
cylinder-head to the seat-base so you could feel the "throbbing"!!

fresh Happy if you don't mind thanks. That's not for a workin' man to

Hmm.. OK; you've covered four with Maccas then. (Add in "sugar" and you've
    got five!)
