    Hi all!

Just bought a Corbin seat from the states for the SV, $219.00 USD, convinced
them to send it by the US Postal service for $51.USD (INCLUDING INSURANCE BY
AIR) after being quoted $180 USD by UPS.

I think its criminal that Suzuki sell these bikes with such badly designed
    saddles.

So I need to sell a few things to pay for the seat and delivery!

I searched around and checked the SVdownunder forum.

Sargent seat was $550 from an australian distributer
Corbin was $219USD plus $180USD postage by UPS

Looked around for an upholsterer but didn't find one local that had
experience and could give me a fixed price.

but when Corbin agreed to send it by US Postal it became the best option for
a bike that cost $11K 2 years ago and has done 30,000Km since.

shops in au aren't in general charging you the freight on top of rrp, but if
you said you would pay it then the parts would arrive a lot quicker.

The shops will generally order from each distributor once or twice a month
and bulk up the one-offs in there to minimise the freight hit and maximise
    margin

got the corbin seat yesterday by post took 3 working days plus the weekend!

was a real bitch to fit, had to pull it apart anf bend the brackets and
remove the rear bolts to get it on but it was worth it.

    my arse is happy now!
