  1. Brett,

make sure you have the collar nice and tight around your neck as well, a lot
of water can get in and down your front or back as it comes off the helmet.
getting wet up to the elbows is common without the right gloves.

ive thoroughly tested my gear in mega downpours, 4 hours exposure, - was
wearing leather gloves - dumb - and the jacket was two sizes too big for
me - result , dampness down the front and forearms but otherwise dry. Wife
was wearing correct sizes, perfectly dry top and bottom, her forearms got
wet though - again - leather gloves.

http://www.underdog-leathers.com - click on jackets and check out the lumina
and ultima series. $290 and $350 respectively and you will stay dry. Pants
    available as well

  2. More likely leaks in through the collar section, very common.

  3. Usually depends on the grade of cordura they are using in the glove. Also
depends on where its dyed as well. Generally most cordura is imported from
China - who produce good stuff, but sometimes you get the lower grade stuff
that will leak. My leather gloves have occassionally been known to leak a
bit of black onto the hands, but only a tiny amount considering the soaking
they got. We currently dont have any cordura based waterproof gloves, only
leather and they are as yet untested but nevertheless for sale if you wanna
    risk it.

  5. Not when you got a meatbag in front of you to hang onto :p
I really enjoyed that little ride, made me think of the possibility of a
    harley in the future.
