Bear in mind that this isn't the UK spec which is usually different. I agree although I like the black. -- cane [at] ukrm.org ¦ fireblade, r30 botafo t#50 f#03 YTC #15 bbb #6 apostle [kotl] New? http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ukrmscbt.html Rideout? http://www.horrible.demon.co.uk/botafof/ "Brace yourselves ladies, I'm coming in dry"
Je-zuz. Apart from the all-black, the other two colour schemes have a large horizontal split in the colours - making it look like a body-kitted Deauville. Seriously, looks like a nice bike (the underseat exhaust even looks OK) but the colour schemes are fucking horrible.
I'm sure they're gutted that you won't be buying one. -- cane [at] ukrm.org ¦ fireblade, r30 botafo t#50 f#03 YTC #15 bbb #6 apostle [kotl] New? http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ukrmscbt.html Rideout? http://www.horrible.demon.co.uk/botafof/ "Brace yourselves ladies, I'm coming in dry"

Well no.. but it is a feature that I like on the GSX-R ... [1] [1] First aid kit, disk lock, bungee net, disposable camera, map book, bag of stuff and enough room for a few other things.
Why are you adament it's purely fashion? For a bike like the VFR I agree with you - the pegs are low enough to make the exhaust height a moot point and it removes any storage the bike has without putting on the luggage. For a supersports, track orientated bike I can see a few reasons for why it's not fashion - greater ground clearance, centralised mass, aerodynamics etc MotoGP bikes have had underseat exhausts (And side exhausts) for ages.
Cobblers. Can you imagine if they took that advertising further - Goldwing - Charged with the DNA of pie, chips, gravy, black pudding, steak, eggs, and 6 pints of Guinness, followed by a kilo of jam roly- poly.

It's handy, but if I were buying a sportsbike I'd look at how it went, stopped and handled. If it got good mileage, had space for a can and a disclock under the seat then all the better. If it's that important can't the "pad" be replaced with a seat hump?
