new Guzzi

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by The Happy Drunk, Jun 12, 2006.

  1. just received an email from one of the local bike shops with the
prices for a new guzzi (norge), from the basic bike to the one with
panniers, top box, and heated handgrips there is a $4000 jump. Does
this sound reasonable? I know if I wanted heated grips I could get
much cheaper aftermarket ones. Would there be any benifit to getting
Guzzi panniers? At the moment I'm thinking aftermarket. That is if it
isn't going to be too hard find aftermarket brackets considering the
bike isn't expected to be released until sometime in Mid September.

This is, of course, if I can get some money out of the bank ;-)

are usually very quick with their products once a new model hit the
showrooms (Europe seems to get the Norge....right now)
Guzzi's had lot's to do with that manufacturer, been flogging their cases
(re-badged of course) since the first Cali at least.
    cheers

Sounds like a ripoff to me. Except that it might be impossible to fit
aftermarket panniers as these days most bikes have weird profiles in
that area and the panniers are shaped to fit.

The Norge is named after the bike Carlo Guzzi rode to the Arctic
circle in the late 1920s to show how good his bikes were.
