Whats the best place to go to, to kit out a garage.

By this I mean, shelving, workbenches, all the little things that make a
mans garage a pleasent place to be.

    Online ordering is preferable.

    Not practical for me then.

Screwfix seems to have most of the stuff I need however.

  8. Machine Mart is great.

It's like a brothel, with chrome vanadium hookers.

Aren't you in the Isle of Man? Screwfix don't deliver a lot of their bigger
    stuff to the Island.

When I moved into my new house in January this year. I got some off the
shelf kitchen units and worktops from B&Q and some of their cheapo metal
shelf units which are now screwed to the garage wall to stop them tipping
over. A left over piece of MDF was screwed to wall to take those red tool
brackets you can buy boxes off for a couple of quid from either Index or
    Moochers. Job done.

I did a search and found a warehouse that was being shut. I got a set
of those *huge* industrial shelving units for about £30 and set them
up so one shelf is at workbench level and then a lower one for heavy
stuff and a high up one for stuff I dont need much. All nice plastic
coated steel - looks the business and strong as hell.

Well, I'd also suggest Machine Mart. Only 'cos I like to drool over red
    things.

Heh. Actually I don't know. I suspect my mother ditched them when I
went to college, along with the make up and hash pipes she found under
    my bed.

Those are the fuckers! Saw their stand at the NEC, made a mental note
to go back, and forgot. Looked through the exhibitors guide, and
nothing rang any bells. Been wondering for ages.

    Cheers Tim.
