Heh, I'm quite pleased with my Qtek S200 which I bought in Spain and
then burned with the English ROM. Works very nicely. The 2M camera is
pretty smart too. I'll upload a couple of De Lorean pictures that I
took last week soon to show you the quality.

  3. I'm sure the hardware is very good quality and all - I just don't like
Windows Mobile. It has appalling memory management, is slow, succeeds
in making a good VGA-res screen look like a CGA screen of yersteryear
and is generally not good (although WM5 is a lot better than WinCE or
    WM2003).

I'll stick to my PalmOS based stuff for now!

When my Clie finally breaks I'll probably replace it with something
Linux based - either one of the new Nokia 770's or a Sharp Zaurus.

The Qtek can be a bit slow, but I think that's more the processor than
    the OS (WM5)
I do like the PalmOS, but feel that it's losing ground now over WM and
    Symbian.
As it happens, I've got an NX80V which I need to bung up on ebay...

    My all-time favourite Palm handheld.

  5. I have yet to see any WM device that wasn't 'a bit slow'. Much like
Linux is perfectly usable on a P3 500 but Windows 2K/XP slows to a
    crawl.
Yeah - and not helped by Palm themselves not seeming to want to
maintain or develop it. The best that we can hope for is that the move
it over to a linux-based system while maintaining backwards
    compatibility.
Mine is an NX73V - I use it as an ebook-reader (using Plucker) and it
rocks. I bought a new battery as the old one was only holding a charge
for about an hour and it's back up to 9 hours of reading time between
charges. I also have the car GPS cradle for it.
Yup - mad in the days when Sony were a leading-edge technology company
rather than a marketing company trying to ram average technology down
    peoples throats.
