They didn't. It's always been 1mm for bikes and IIRC 'visible tread'
    for mopeds.

To be fair that's technically on the motorway, but the motorway ends
after a roughly equal distance in both directions. It looks more like a
split as the road ends. You're "keeping right", not "turning right".
I'm not quite sure what you're talking about here. It looks like a
normal "exit by pulling off left". This photo would seem to indicate
    you're talking bollocks:

Only one of the /several/ machines currently in my possession actually
    has indicators.

Make that two but on one of them the bike doesn't even run.

The one that got me, and annoyed me slightly was..

"What should you do on approaching a junction when turning right?"

    a) Indicate
    b) Lifesaver
    c) Position
    d) Slow down

Now, I reckon "all of the above" should be the answer
    (safety-nazi-stylee), but apparently it's "lifesaver".

Mine doesn't, but according to the manual for my alarm if I press both
buttons on the fob for 3 seconds then it will activate hazard warning
    lights.

    <Goes to check>

Aye, it's not lying ... that's certainly worth knowing.

with your riding style, you really ought just to leave it like that
    all the time.

34/35 - But as I don't ever hope to be in the position of exchanging a
provisional for a full licence ever again I can live with not knowing
I have two years and not just six months to do so.

I didn't like that one either, but then I read it properly and
realised that it said 'immediately before' turning right, so it's more
about the sequence of events than which ones should be done or not
    done.

    The actual wording is:

You are about to turn right. What should you do just before you turn?

    Give the correct signal
Take a ‘lifesaver’ glance over your shoulder
    Select the correct gear
Get in position ready for the turn

The relevant word in the question if "just". All of the other things
    should already have been done.

Hey, I stand by my record - 3 crashes serious enough to cause proper damage
to the bike; all of them on straight roads, all of them without causing
damage to another person or vehicle and all of them walked away from.

  19. I suppose the argument could go that you have done 1,2 and 4 before you
arrive at the turn and the lifesaver (glad to see they call it that) is
the last thing you do do because if you don't it may be the last thing
you didn't do. I can see their logic but would fault the way it is
    presented.
