I can't see to get the massive metal valve and integrated pressure
gague thing all the petrol stations seem to have past my front disc to
    inflate my tyre. Any tips?

You can get right-angle adapters to screw on the valves. Somewhere like
    M&P should do them.

Having said that, garage pressure guages are notoriously crap, so you'd
be better off using a foot-pump & pencil guage.

Get yourself a footpump from Halfords.

Yeah, get one of those 90 degree angled valve stems. They just screw onto
your original stem, making airline connection a piece of piss, but you need
to be aware that they can easily knock your wheel out of balance.

and if you should happen to be a skinny **** and into step aerobics
their double barrel one is, when considered as a dual purpose device,
astonishingly good value for money. Although from my personal
perspective not actually that terribly good at doing what it says on the
box. Opinions held by fat cunts may differ.

    Beav says...
My 90 deg fitting lives in my pocket. I never leave them on the valve
cos the forces can cause the valve stem rubber to split and suddenly
deflate the tyre. If you must have 90 deg valves on the bike all the
time, buy proper ones like Triumph fit at factory and have them fitted
    with your new tyres.

I've got a similar one at home which lives in the car. It only
inflates up to 35psi, not the 42psi my rear likes.

    I had a Halfords single-barrel one & it was shite. I've now got a
    Michelin double-barrel & it rocks.

  9. No idea on the price of "double barrelled" foot pumps, but after some
recommendations I bought a floor standing pump from wiggle.co.uk, I find
it a lot easier to use than a foot pump. Have a google for "Joe Blow Max
    II"[1]

In addition to the other suggestions: with some combinations of bike and
inflator, it's possible to feed the inflator through one of the holes in
    the disc carrier.

Not necessarily. I was just under 13st at the start of the month when I
went on the 'self-pity' diet[1]. No exercise other than spending the
hottest week of the year decorating.

**** that. Just live with your pot. I've been over 13 St for a couple
of years now and am getting used to it. Jeans and tight and T-shirts
such as I wore at Sedan don't look too good, but it's not so bad.
    ****. Weren't you hungry?

The wierd thing is I only get back ache when I go over 11 stone, so I'm
going to try and lose it, for my own comfort.

Mainly it comes down to too many hours at a desk (or sat down) and not
enough moving about... made worse by working from home a lot.

No. It wasn't a conscious decision not to eat - I just didn't feel
remotely hungry. The gallons of water may have had something to do with
    it I suppose.
