Now, I'm all for up to the minute reporting, but that poor bastard who
having to stand there in the midst of Hurricane Rita gets my sympathy.
Surely they could've let him do it from the comfort of a hotel room - he
could've opened the window a crack or something to let us see the ferocity
    of the storm.

    ?
I think there were hurricanes and other weather phenomena well before
    the present "global warming".

  6. It is a fact that global warming is present, however, Mankind is not the
    cause.
Global warming and cooling has happened many times in the past.

At present, the Sun is getting larger, this is a fact!. Can we blame Mankind
    for this?

  7. American TV is the biggest load of crap.

You have to laugh when these so called reporters say things like "These
winds are so fierce" they then hold a wind meter into the wind and say "It
shows 55mph, the meter must not be working properly"

Do not believe what you see on TV (especially US TV)

    wisdom:
It depends who's tits are in it.

Who is? The reporter? Bloody good English accent then.

Perhaps I should have expanded, for the hard of thinking...

BBC News 24 on BBC 2.

As per my other post, it was BBC News 24 on BBC 2, therefore not US tv and
    not a US reporter.

(although if that storm whips up any more, he could well end up US!)

    saying 'feet'.

Since records began, which was when? Doesn't really give much to
    compare, does it?
The Earth has had weather for millions of years, some of it jolly bad.

Does Allah still do the vengeful god bit of his youth or has his

    I really doubt it.
Had to happen, eventually; Below sea level, defences not up to much,
    direct hit.
It's hurricane season. It's happened before, it'll happen again.
