Nigel Slater - Toast

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Paul Corfield, Dec 5, 2006.

  1. Just read it - what a rather wonderful book. Recommended if you enjoy
biographies and a great use of both memory and the English language.

Some splendid laugh out loud moments and far too many terrifying
    similarities to my own childhood.

Excellent isn't it. He grew up just round the corner from our place.

  3. VAM [1] will be mounting a death mission against you. Nigel Slater is
an acclaimed chef and cookery writer. Given your view of food I am
perhaps not surprised you haven't heard of him.

[1] victoriaalbertmuseum or vulgarandmischevious - you choose.

Not really one these days. A celebrity chef and food writer for the
    Observer.

I got his Kitchen Diaries for Christmas last year and it's also a
lovely read. And mouthwatering. I should have put Toast on my
    Christmas list.

    Mmmmm toast.

    Ooops, wrong group.
