Clearly not a film about UKRM but a spanking good film all the same.
For once Jonathan Woss gets something right.
    Highly recommended.

Tommy Lee Jones has an outstandingly craggy face for the close up camera
shots, he clearly decided against the Hollywood plastic surgery
    sub-culture from an early age.

I've not seen it yet, but for once I'm hopeful that an adaptation of a
book I've read and enjoyed actually might make a pretty good movie.

This is so true, although he's not in the film enough.

As well as being a fine actor (in case I appear sexist[1]). Can't wait
for In the Valley of Elah.

[1] Still going to watch Savage Islands until I drown though.

Have you read "Blood Meridian"? I understand Tommy Lee Jones has had
the film rights for some time, but from flicking though I thought it
would be too violent to ever get onscreen in any plausible form. Then
again, Jones doesn't seem afraid to make unpopular films.

Many, many years ago, long before The Fugitive, I saw him play Gary
Gilmore and was blown away. He was just brilliant.

Then I saw Savage Islands and went all wibbly. I love pirates.

I have to say that if this is building up to a "Roger the cabin-boy"
line, then you're on your own.
