  1. Sorry - simply can't find a hotel with enough space. I'm looking for
later in the autumn, but September is right out.

why do you assume that- they are/were on different weekends.Remember
you had to move the EOSM, so they didn't clash..

I was *really* looking forward too this, thanks for trying. I think
I'm going to look at heading over on my own sometime Aug/Sept. What's
the name of the website you use for booking the crossing?

While it's a bit of a bummer for those that were looking forward to it,
depending on the date I might be able to make it.

Might, as in not definate as yet ;o)

Having just tried to use their price checker the website doesn't allow
you to select motorcycle from the vehicle selection!

Well I'm always up for it, but after a frankly superb week's riding
with Champ and Mike [1] I've decided I only want to ride with other
folk on sprotsbikes who can ride at a reasonable[2] pace. I'd never
realised quite how much fun could be gained from three well-ridden
gixxers chasing each other all around France. We fair put the wind up
a few locals, I can tell you :))

So as long as there's a fast group I'll be well up for it.

[1] Some of it with Rob too, but he wasn't quite 'with us' IYSWIM.
[2] i.e. nearly, but not quite, suicidal.

Let's face it, if he didn't live close to France with great biking
roads next door to him, no-one would bother visiting him, right?
