cut engine power when the accelerator and brakes are applied at the same
    time"

Mrs WUN won't be able to have so much fun around Sainsbury's car park with
    her next Yaris...

Subtext: The reason some fuckwits have been crashing their Toyotas is
that they're too fucking stupid to realise they're still on the gas as
they're braking. We'll add a fix to protect them from themselves.

I wonder if the US enthusiasm for pursuing these matters is in any way
related to the dire position of US car companies and the extent to which
they have lost market share to Japanese companies.

My Saab does this, although it is a slushbox.
Bizarrely the 911 also seemed to do so, and it isn't. As I left foot brake
    it's ever so slightly annoying.

It may not do so in Sport but I'm invariably hyperventilating too much to
    notice.

  10. Dirty tricks from GM and Ford?
Yessah. Without a doubt - the faults on Toyotas are routine for the
industry and the Big American Makers have far from clean hands on
similar matters. Of course, the muppets in the media don't know when
they're being played like cheap fiddles.
