Why is Lozzo in Valencia - and riding a scooter?

No. A pony is a "poni" in Spanish. From www.rae.es

    poni.
    (Del ingl. pony).
    1. m. Caballo de cierta raza de poca alzada.

It would appear to be 'ponies.' No that I do Spanish, but caballitos
may refer to the action of a horse jumping up on its back legs (don't
know the right term) which one could say is similar to a wheelie?
    Perhaps it's a slang term.

A search for Caballitos on Google Images brings up a load of horse
images, and also this link which shows a load of wheelies:
    <http://invertidos.tripod.com/MOTOS/Motos.htm>

A translation of that whole sign looks something like "Wheelies
prohibited. Minimotos prohibited. Quadbikes prohibited" but
motorcycles and scooters are fine, as long as they've got two wheels
    on the road.

  5. I must be part-Spanish. All the wheelies I've tried have always turned
    out to be completely pony.

Bless, look at them all with their fleece jumpers on. I bet it's only 22C
    out there.

Not normal high temperatures. Last january it snowed in Barcelona and
freezed for several days, but now we're having this warm early november.

We should stop this climate change and the greenhouse effect. It would
suffit with Lozzo fixing his bike's carburators, may be.

    I haven't lost my mind, it's
backed up to a floppy disc
    that's around here somewhere.

To be fair, that wheelie is a bit pony anyway, so maybe the tag should
    stick.

I've only once had a bike that suffered from carb icing, and it only did
it once. That was my 2nd ZZR1100. My Gixer has fuel injection, and the
GPZ500 has electronic carb heaters fitted.

  12. Who's the rider?

Not far off. "Small horse". To wheelie is to make like a horse.
In my diccionario "pony" = "poney" en castellano.

  13. It's the spanish obsession with the diminutive. Horse = caballo. The
"ito" just means little. "I've bought my daughter a little horse" "He
comprado un caballito para mi hija".

If you'd like to repeat that in castellano, I'll translate it for you :)

  20. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Champ amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
That's because it's considered bad form to shit in the street.
