on Christmas morning at 745 AM I set out for the Shoreline and Panoramic Highways. It was colder then Joey Dunlop's missing finger on a dark Irish winter night, but I was determined to get out and have some moron-free asphalt no matter what I had to do to get it. I did find a few nasties in the shaded corners coming up from Tam Junction, but once I got out of the icy fog, and on to the venerable curviness of Her Majesty the Panoramic, I was slaloming through the slanted sunshine in pure moto-zen. The road along the Bolinas Lagoon was remarkably free of idiots, morons, assholes and muffugahs, leaving only the promise of a perfect morning ride ahead. I burbled into Point Reyes Station though, and alas there was NO coffee anywhere, so I just kept riding north until I had exhausted all the possible sources of a hot cuppa Joe to wrap my aching fingers around. Oh well, at least everything else was absolutely right. Can anyone ask for more on Christmas day? I think I might bring a thermos full of my favorite brew with me next year, just in case. Now tomorrow the 26th , the malls will be filled with bargain hunters....the weatherman has hinted at rain in the north bay, so maybe I will give old CA 9 a try and see what ba.moto.characters make the morning scene at Alices parking lot. ( probably around 930-1000 am ) Now I hope you all don't forget to so a bit of riding this week, especially all you lucky school district employees like me, who get the week off, with pay. -- Jim Stinnett VTR1000 R1100RS YZF R1 http://moto-rama.com
