I appear to have dropped a bit of a bollock by assuming everybody has
the same sense of humour as I have.

Whilst discussing 'phased evacuation plans' for hospitals and care
homes (1) it was let slip that these places have plans in place where
the fittest (ha!) are evacuated first. When I described it as nothing
more than Darwinism in action 11 heads turned towards me and 11 people
scowled. What the **** is wrong with them?

(1) No, I don't know what the **** it has to do with power stations.

 

They were the unfit ones.

 

There is actually a lot of sense in getting the most people out ASAP
and dealing with the rest later rather than tackling the difficult
cases first and leaving a lot of people in danger.

Yes, I fully understand that. Whatever made you think I either didn't
understand it or disagreed with it?

 

Obviously. The only problem I had was when we were discussing it they

Out of 12 people on the course I'm the only one from an engineering
background and I think I'm probably a little bit too 'robust' for
them.

One stupid bint stood up and asked if people would show some
consideration for the fact that there were women on the course after
someone described tripping over as going arse over tit. Honestly, it's
fucking mad and I've got a two week version of this shit to do early
next year. ****.That.

Look at the test evacuations of commercial airliners, where everything went
smoothly until someone had the bright idea of offering IIRC $10 for the
first three out.

 

Next time, say something weirder and more offensive. "Bollocks over ****",
