"North Wales Police's chief constable has posted a video of "hooligan"
bikers on his web diary to highlight the problem of speeding."

The riders were both banned after speeding at 'almost 100mph'.

Take a look at the video - it doesn't seem that bad to me?

Tim Gordon () gurgled happily, sounding much like
    they were saying :
    "undertaking on the hard shoulder"...?

Umm, where on that video does it show that? L1, yes - but the numpties they
were passing shouldn't have been sat in L2 anyway.

You need to watch the full version on his blog.

They do use the hard shoulder to overtake, plus some of the lane
splitting looks a bit iffy to me.

Of course, I'm sure no-one here has *ever* ridden like that.....

Looks perfectly fine to me as well, I'd have done exactly the same in
the car, let alone on the bike.

Can we get Mike pulled and then do an "only stopped me 'cause I is Black
    routine"

It's blatant discrimination and Brunstrom and his crew deserve to be
murdered, with their children looking on, while their wives are raped in
    the same dungeon.

The only bit I baulked at was the entering the hard shoulder to go
round the car towing the boat. Other than that I almost ended up
thinking the video was filmed in France or Italy, the amount of people
    driving on the right.

They did take some chances. I thought going past the coach was a bit
    iffy, too.

To be honest, although the car drivers were mostly in the wrong, you are
asking for a pull if the police witness you riding like that - nomatter
where in the country it happens.

However, they should also be making an example of the cars, too, for
    incorrect lane discipline.

    Tim Gordon says...
"Paul Knight, sales manager with motorcycle traders Bill Smith Motors
(Gwynedd) in Bangor added it was important to remember the video
featured the actions of two individuals "who would probably have been
doing the same thing if they had happened to be driving a car that day".

They were not the actions of "motorcyclists en masse". "

    Well said Gus[1]

[1] Paul Knight is my best mate of over 25 years standing. He taught me
to wheelie, I taught him how to pull women. I was the better teacher.

The good thing is, the BBC video only shows two bikes carefully undertaking
all those cage tossers in lane 2 who should know better.
How did such a complete fuckwit like Brunstrom get where he is? Promoted
out of the way, but one step too far?

If cage drivers would used the correct fucking lane, bikes wouldn't be
forced to undertake, so apart from the trucker, every driver on that road
    was to blame for everything.

It's not as if the bike riders were actually "hooliganing" either, given
    their mild undertakings.

How many times have you been sat behind plod while he's been sat behind one
of those numpties? They occasionally flash the dickhead to move over, but
    usually they just ... sit.

It was hardly hard shoulder, more like lane 1a, the rest looked pretty
    tame.

I sometimes undertake multiple cars to get past lorries, more or less a
slower version of what these guys did. once I come up behind the lorry
I ( usually ) slow down if required and hope for a safe place to pull
out. I always thought that if your lane is moving faster then it's
not actually ilegal to go past on the inside, please correct me if I'm
wrong.. This clip nicely shows their excessive speed though, which is
a fair cop really aint it ?

Warwick Castle seem to do pretty well out of one, judging the publicity.
Although they may be a bit far away to host suggested spectacle, what a
    shame.

It would certainly be fittingly creepy enough though (Living TV had some
goons doing a spirit thingy the other night, including going down into the
isolation cell which was interesting because its usually locked up and you
don't get to see the interior).

The video isn't too bad - because that isn't the primary reason that they
got stopped and subsequently banned. There is no way the helicopter can
reliably determine speed so that wasn't really an issue. The filtering in
the video might only have got them cautioned in other circumstances. The
main issue was "Some three hours earlier the same two riders had been
spotted by a different police officer travelling at 95mph on the westbound
carriageway of the A55 in Colwyn Bay through the 50mph limit. They were
followed onto the A470, where one of the riders did a ‘wheelie’ (lifting the
front wheel off the ground) at 70mph for 100m or so while overtaking another
vehicle. Neither bike had a correct numberplate. They were reported, but
apparently even this was not enough to calm them down." Having already been
reported for 95 in a 50 limit and a 70mph wheelie whilst overtaking they
were really taking the piss by riding this way in the video. It hardly
surprising that plod was a bit peeved.

    TMack says...
In Brunstrom-speak this could also be interpreted as 'their number
plates were a bit smaller than the legal requirement'. He makes it sound
like they deliberately rode on false plates without actually saying so.
