  2. There's a load of really nice parts and workmanshiop in there, and the
whole thing comes out as a dog's breakfast. The exhaust looks gross. The
tank is lovely but doesn't match the fairing, The seat unit wouldn't
match anything except possible a 'race-tuned' Fizzie. The total lack of
    air filtration spells doom.

    I'd break it for parts.

Why are there scaffold tubes cabled tied to the back of it?

It has the makings of something really rather nice.

But it is horribly oversold in the description.

I'd have a punt at the opening price, but not - I fear - the reserve.

The exhaust doesn't even fit - you can see the collector exiting under
the bike and the silencers are cable tied on along side it.

Reminds me of a bike I very nearly bought in about 1978 - A cb500
motor mounted in a wideline chassis. I don't remember the looks of the
thing that well, but cafe racer was the overall style, of course. Real
clip-ons, 4-1 pipe, alloy tank. NorHon graphics, IIRC.

Took it out for about an hour on the twisties south of Derby towards
Melbourne area - ****, did it handle. At that point I'd never ridden
anything like it, either for handling or outright power (my current
bike was an XT500). Motor wouldn't tick over, mind, and the seller
claimed it was done deliberately, but I suspect otherwise.

Was very tempted, but decided to shy clear in the end. Not sure
whether I regret that or not.

I could have almost understood someone trying this sort of thing in
    1975ish but nowadays?

It looks like a collection of bits wanged together, the tank looks ace,
but the rest .. and that "Ducati type bracketry" ... wtf ?!?!

  10. Marvelous!
Not all that unknown in the day, anyway. Wideline frames were damn near
two a penny and all sorts of engines went in them.
