Moving home just before Christmas. I never realized how much junk I had.

Moving bikes in freezing fog isn't much fun either.

It doesn't have to be Christmas for that, love.
You need a truck with a tail-lift, you do.

I remember doing this with the help of JackH a good few years ago.

Even worse than moving the bike was moving my Fiat Spider - I had to
drive it with the roof down to stop the inside of the windscreen icing
    up.

Nearly all done now, just a few curtains to hem and a bike to run in.

You've not run it in yet?

It's good to move every so often, reduces the stuff levels. The trick is
not to collect stuff, apart from books, it's ok to collect those. :)

This is challenging visibility weather on a bike. The visor gets dropletted
to **** on the outside, misted on the inside, and seems to have acquired a
greasy grunge layer. So I ride around with it open, and the glasses swiftly
lose optical clarity too. Fortunately, my eyesight is legal without glasses
(although much better with), so it's down to peering through the freezing
fog with the naked Mk.I Eyeball, and losing all feeling in my face.

And then it's "Botox much?" when I get to the office...

I only had to wipe my visor once this morning. There was bugger all
traffic on the way in, and not much on the way out. Lovely, it was.

I'm surprised too. I know managed to get mine run and serviced before
taking it to pound-island about a week after I got it, but I feel
there's a lack of dedication here.

Freezing fog? Tonight I had my first experience of freezing rain - thank
goodness for 4 wheel drive and winter tyres!

Definately. I had mine run in and serviced well within the week, too.

It's not like she bought it yesterday, is it?

I know, it usually takes me a few days but I've been busy with the children
I work with and moving home in my spare time. But I'm here now and have
free time so my bike will be properly dusted.
    Hmmm.....maybe ;)

I remember a few years ago I was riding my gixxer and there were cars parked
in a strange way at the side of the road. As I rode through I noticed a
policeman, he took his hat off and did a twirly motion with his finger by
his head while staring at me.

As long as his finger isn't calibrated you're OK.

    Whinging Courier says...
I just get a man or lady to run mine in for me, and as a favour back I
allow them to use them for a couple of years or so.

I use the a similar system but instead of letting them use the new
bike once it's run in I let them use the one it replaced.

  19. He was just using sign to tell you his hat was too big and he really
wished he was at home with a cup of tea and a bun in front of the telly.
