Now *that* hurt

On the last leg of a ride today, following another bike, we both went
for an overtake, I behind him. Someone must have dropped a pile of
stones on the road; as soon as we accelerated past the car I was
showered in fairly large [1] stones flung up by his back wheel. Two
hits to the shins stung, but the one to the hand was rather more
painful. I spent the rest if the ride barely abel to pull in the clutch
thinking I had a broken finger.

Now the pains gone a bit, and the bleeding from around the nail has
stopped it's not so bad.

I was a bit worried about the front of the bike, but all it picked up
was a chip in the engine paint and a few squashed fins on the radiator,
which reminds me that I was going to get some sort of cover for it.
Does anyone know where these can be bought for the SV? I already know
of banditmania.

Ouch!

I was once pillion on a FZR1000 Genesis and a van in front ran over a long
length of exhaust pipe lying in the road, it flicked up spinning and I
thought -oh shit this is it-, it hit the front tyre side ways and glanced
around the side safely.
