Got a call from my local Harley dealer today, they have a test fleet of 20
new bikes and 20 of their customers (including myself) have been invited out
on Sunday for a ride into the mountains to the north of Brisbane on Sunday,
a nice lunch and about 400 kilometres of riding. Now that's what I call a
    test ride.

Been spending the day spray painting a helmet black, running the brando
jacket over with the victa, got the texta's out coloring in a few tats on
the undersized bicepts, slashing the knees out of the levi's and stapling a
couple of steel rings to the sides of the runners.

  6. Why don't you staple a couple of steel rings to your ears?

I thought these days it was more like the $2000 pre-distressed
    eagle-embossed, fringed-jacket, the $600 Cuban-heel rebel-boots, the 6" high
    solid-silver eagle belt-buckle, the fingerless-gloves, jeans, wrap-around
sunnies and wallet all with the "Harley Davidson genuine fashion accessory"
tags still attached (but with the "made in Mexico" scratched-out!)

Did about 300 kilometres on the CVO Harley a Soft tail Springer, however I
found the Harley riding position did not suit my BMW attuned body, I have
been spoiled by full fairings, long travel soft suspension and ergonomic
riding positions. A day on the dark side has reaffirmed my motorcycling
    choices.

My daughter confirmed that they are picking up a 2009 Sportster
(1250?) in a couple of weeks. The last Harley I rode had a gearstick
and foot clutch. I was 16.
