The comments are as intelligent as usual. Perhaps there should be an IQ
    test before the driving test.
.... or no plates at all.

  5. "Punish the wreckless drivers with biggers fines"

    Heh.
    Yep.

Of course, there's another long-term plan. Make it more difficult to use
the back roads for x-country trips and the motorway network becomes more
attractive. Then introduce M-way pricing, at a low level per mile, just
so it's still bearable compared to the hassles of backroad driving.

... and of course having a network of average speed cameras means you can
track the journeys of all your citizens.

Be fair, now. He was only four minutes behind you - which equates to
only 3.3333333333333 miles on a B road in the future. About the same
    as Ginge, coincidentally ;-)

'Can you tell what it is yet?'

    </RHM>

If the above increases, given it's already happening in London by way of
plates being lifted off of other cars and then refitted to other vehicles
due to the desire for some to not be liable for the congestion charge etc,
there will be more of an excuse for RFID to be introduced for all
vehicles... so all in all, it's a win win situation for this shower of cunts
    really.

  11. There's a few 'think of the chiiiiildren' ones, but most do seem to be
against it. Maybe the Daily Mail should run it too.

Seems a bit harsh. Shouldn't those that cause accidents be targeted instead?

Usually, he'd be 3 miles ahead. My bike looks better, obviously.

What the **** is up with me and my assigned local MP.

First is was that George Young git who demolished half the Western
Avenue, then cancelled the road widening, now it's Jim " I bet
no-one's ever heard of me" Fitzpatrick.

I can see how he's ideally placed to comment/legislate on rural roads,
though, what with him being the MP for Poplar & Canning Town.

Well, not quite the ivory tower I'd envisaged, but certainly distant
    enough.

The thing is, there has been a sea change in driving habits. Being a
regular user of non-urban A and B roads, I now see a /lot/ of cars
being driven at 40 - 45mph in the current NSL. Lots more than there
were before the introduction of speed cameras, certainly. Fortunately
for these brain-dead numpties (many of whom brake to >30mph when they
spot the feared camera) they won't be affected at all if NSL is
dropped to 50mph. They'll drop their normal speed to 35mph, just in
    case.

    Done. I was polite too.
Apparently, MPs don't receive as many letters as you might expect so
each one does carry some weight. Hopefully others will follow suit.

Yet when they get to the 30mph village they'll carry on at exactly the same
    speed.

I find they tend to drive slowly through the de-restricted bits at night
where there are no lights and then speed up when entering 30 zones.
