If the countries aren't of comparable 'position' then what point does it
make showing that some are (apparently) less corrupt than others?
Maybe he's deranged? Who knows. Fact is you can *suspect* that people
are being economical with the truth here but neither you nor I (nor
anyone outside of a very select circle) will ever know the truth of the
    matter.

You're taking IMO a staggeringly naieve view here.

    Another post, someone's mentioned some.
Old, old old. And she's been punished (or we've attempted to punish)
    her for it.
Even *if* true I can understand misguided but corrupt?

Is it because they're Bangladeshi you've a problem with this?
I'm not convinced this last statement is truthful I'm afraid.

    Using the wrong word :)
That doesn't stop me having an opinion on it though!

  4. Iceland has a maritime temperate climate, just as Britain has and a
    much higher living standard.

But it does rather devalue your opinion.

So, where joe wrote "putting up the money" he should have written
    "suggesting".

Hardly corruption. 100K is a drop in the fucking ocean, anyway. The
top 5% of earners in the UK are defrauding the exchequer of that on a
    daily basis.

"Putting a spin on it" is the current phrase I believe.

You mean you actually hold any value in my opinions in the first place?

    *shocked*

No it is deeper than that. Headlines like "Unnamed Chelsea French
Striker in two at once male to male oral sex scandal", followed by an
article about cat grooming parlours or some such.

Next evening in the public bar and the striker gets a name and a
reputation he doesn't deserve. Although in the case mentioned he
    probably does.

Because it was in the original list and the two small countries were
mentioned as being icy or rocky?

Yes, suggesting, watch and wait for it happening.
100k is the running cost per year, I don't know the cost of building.
I consider it corruption to take money from British taxpayers and build
schools abroad for people who remove their children from school in
Britain to go on extended holiday, plans are supposedly in place to
fine parents who keep their children off school. How does that make
    sense?
In the last (your) sentence you say the top 5% of earners are
defrauding, I would also take issue on that as I *think* it is more
than that. However, in that sentence surely defrauding *is* corruption.

I cannot see why any country cannot be compared no matter the size,
    depending on the issue.
Of course, that is how they are rarely brought to book.
    Don't disagree
    Has she?
Taking money out of the country to pay for school in the country they
were born in makes it corrupt in my eyes.

No, they are British, I thought that was the idea? they live here and
accept British nationality, they should not *send money home*.
I do know it is a drop in the ocean but considering the chef reported
in the guardian £400 would be even less than a drop, but noone gave him
    it.

It was true last elections because I still voted labour.
    Next time who knows?

Hopefully no-one. I thought it was beautiful, the way the Icelandic

Seems too much of a co-incidence. I'm with you, I'd like to believe
it's a real post but I'm a cynic and find that hard to believe.
