I did admire the young Japanese lad I met at Nullarbor Roadhouse one
trip. He had a tent and a CT90 and spoke little English.

What speed can you reasonably maintain on a CT90? More or less than a
    Z50?

Going to depend on the Z50. Or given it is Bluey we are talking about
the "Z50 wink wink nudge nudge it says 49cc on the barrel officer
    see?"

No, I was leaning more towards a policy which gives me my rego for free,
and anyone whose vehicle I deem to be unnecessarily noisy pays 10x the
"standard" rate and spends a weekend locked in the pillory while I throw
    rotten vegetables at them.

The obvious downside being that you have to live in WA. :)

Depends on the load carried, wind conditions and terrain. 65km/h is a
    good average though.

  10. Yeah right, good on ya.
I can just imagine being chased by a squad of postie bikes

Given that 70 is the recommended MAX for riders on the Postie Challenge
(to ensure mechanical longevity & yes I know 110s can do over 90), I think
a 65 average would bloody good going, unless you managed to avoid towns,
hills and unmade roads almost entirely. Cheers

On my last CT90 trip back from Mildura I managed to make it to Temora in a
day[1], which I thought was pretty good for 650km.

I had a tailwind across the Hay plain, which allowed me to maintain
80km/h. Bitumen road the whole way.

[1] To be fair, I started at 07:30 and arrived at around 20:30.

Jogging might be excessive, I think you could probably mosey. :)

My Postman drives a car. Did you not notice that there is damn-all
difference in cost between an 80cc bike and a 1200cc model. A CT90
costs $17 less to rego than my Guzzi.OTOH Z50's are damn cheap.
    Posties are not.

It cost me $205 to register my postie bike... but I think it'll be worth
every cent - the energy it takes for me to kick start the bloody thing will
ensure I lose about 10 kilos over the next 12 months, so it's a LOT cheaper
    than a gym membership!
