Licence classes used to be numbered then subdivided

    1A was car
1Bwas light commercial vehicle (ie 8-16 seat minibus)
3a was light rigid truck up to a certain weight (8 ton ?)
3B was large rigid (up to I think 20ton)
    5a was a semi
    5B was a B double I think

Anyways I'm not sure the above classifications are dead right but that was the
    general drift

V no idea (but it tastes good and sure keeps you awake :)

Oohh that's a terrible combination !!! After about 6 or 8 you don't know whether
to fall down or bounce off the walls - bouncing off the floor is usually the
    compromise :)

    Tastes good but !!!

my dad, now visiting us from SouthAus, once shown me his licence from the
early fifties in Scotland. In addition to his car and bike licence (he rode
speedway and scrambles at that time, JAP's and Velocettes mostly) it allowed
him to drive a truck and a 'Light Locomotive'.. "I'm taking over this train",
"but Sir, it's a heavy locomotive" .. "O.K. then, here's my $2.70 to get from
Murrumbeena to the MCG to see the cricket."
